Sharon Cilia Tortell is the Chief Risk & Sustainability Officer at Steadfast Insurance Partners Ltd, with extensive expertise in governance, risk management, sustainability, and compliance. A Certified Accountant and Auditor, she has held senior roles including Chief Officer Internal Audit at MAPFRE Middlesea plc and MAPFRE MSV Life plc, and Risk and Compliance Officer for several insurance entities. Her career also spans advisory work at PwC, regulatory roles at the Malta Financial Services Authority, and contributions to European financial working groups. Sharon holds a B.Com, a B.Accty (Hons), and an Executive MBA with Distinction, and is a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants. She is Vice & Past-President of the Malta Association of Risk Management & Compliance Officers, and an active member of FERMA and the Malta Institute of Management.
