Ms Gabriella Borda is a sustainability and risk specialist who works closely with industry to address ESG risks and unlock innovation opportunities through applied research and strategic collaboration. She supports companies in testing hypotheses that may lead to technological breakthroughs in climate resilience and sustainable finance. Her work focuses on turning complex regulatory and ESG challenges into practical solutions that create long-term value. In addition to her industry-facing work, she designs and delivers targeted training programmes to build organisational capacity in ESG integration and risk management. She also serves as a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta, where she contributes to teaching and applied research on sustainability and finance. With a multidisciplinary background, she brings a systems-thinking approach that bridges academia, policy, and private sector action. Her ongoing projects span across sectors, aiming to scale innovation that supports resilience, governance, and sustainability. She is also a board member of the Malta Association of Risk Management (MARM), where she is responsible for sustainability matters.
