Workshop 6: Geopolitical and cyber risks impact on the value chain

The year 2024 saw over 2 billion people vote in elections across the world. With Donald Trump’s return to the White House in America, the rise of the far right in Europe, and the retrenchment of autocrats in both Russia and China, the geopolitical landscape in 2025 poses major threats to organisations, whether big or small. Conflict, both domestic and international, threatens the systems on which many organisations rely from tangible supply chains to interconnected virtual systems.

This session will explore the nature of these risks and the evolving role of the risk professional in meeting them, providing a practical framework for geopolitical preparedness and even seizing the opportunities they provide.
