Workshop 3: Climate Risks – A 360° perspective

From the recent California wildfires to the flooding that annual affects Europe, the catastrophic physical impact of climate change is no longer in the abstract future – it is the here and now. Organisations must be prepared for threats, not only to the primary assets, but also to those of their suppliers and partners, raising the prospect of large-scale supply chain disruption and business interruption. Major advances in mapping technology and climate adaptation, however, mean that the properly prepared risk manager, does not need to be caught unaware and unprepared!

In this session we will explore a holistic 360° approach to physical climate risks and how some of the exciting advances in geospatial mapping of physical risks, and good practice preparedness can help you reduce losses and present yourself to as a good risk to your insurer.
